The TeamWorks (TW) program at Hands On Bay Area (HOBA) combines our three core values – volunteer, learn and lead – into one great program. Through this unique “service-learning” experience, volunteers meet new people, learn about community issues and provide important volunteer service to local organizations.
HOBA has two types of TeamWorks programs. TW Explore gives volunteers a chance to join one group of committed volunteers at a variety of service projects across the region. Through TW Focus, volunteer teams participate in service projects and discussions around one issue area. All TeamWorks series include direct service (volunteer), facilitated reflection (learn) and collaboration (lead).
